Police in the southern Israeli city of Beit Shemesh have announced an automated door-related service to help people find and avoid automatic doors.
The department has launched an automated service that is meant to provide information about the automatic doors in order to assist with the identification of people and vehicles parked in the city’s streets.
The service was launched last week, according to an email from the department’s head of security, Majdi Ahed.
The email was published by the Hebrew news site Ynet.
The automated door service has not been rolled out in all Israeli cities, but the announcement indicates that the department intends to expand the service in the future.
The automatic parking doors in Israel are operated by a number of private companies, including the Tel Aviv Parking and Transportation Authority.
The services are not part of the municipal system and are administered by private companies.
The Jerusalem Post reported that the automatic parking service was not officially launched by the Jerusalem Municipality, which operates the city.
The system has not yet been deployed in Jerusalem, but it was reportedly tested in several Israeli cities in 2013.
The service is expected to be expanded in the coming years, according the Jerusalem Post.
