If you are having trouble finding your cat on your block, or you just want to hear it, here is how to make the chime work for your cat.1.
Start by removing the door from its locking mechanism.2.
Remove the locking mechanism from the door with a utility knife or small tool.3.
Pull the locking mechanisms off the door and push them out with a screwdriver or pliers.4.
Put the door back in its locking mechanisms with a nut.5.
Install a new locking mechanism with the same tool.6.
Install the new locking mechanisms on the existing locking mechanisms.7.
Install another locking mechanism on the same door with the exact same tool as the first one.8.
Install additional locking mechanisms as needed.9.
Use the same screwdriver and pliers to install a third and fourth locking mechanism and/or a fourth and fifth locking mechanism to each of the existing doors.10.
Install four additional locking devices as needed for the remaining doors.11.
Close the door by inserting the locking device or locking mechanism into the new opening.12.
Wait a few minutes for the chimes to work.
You may have to repeat this process three times to get the chirps to work for each door.
It’s a process that will take a couple of minutes to complete.
If your cat has trouble hearing the chimps, you can always use an automated cat door.
The chimes will also be a lot quieter.
