— Kent County Sheriff David Mowrey said Tuesday that a man who owns a security camera company that captures cameras in Kent County has been charged with four counts of operating an unregistered machine.
Kent County Prosecutor David A. Smith said Tuesday night that the company, Cameras-A-Lot, operates an automated camera system in the county.
He said that the man, who has been in custody, will face four counts in connection with the camera business.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that they have arrested a person who owns Cameras A-Lot in the city of Kent, and will seek an indictment.
The Sheriff’s Department said in the statement that the sheriff’s office is working with the company to “determine whether the owner is violating the law.”
Kent County is located in the northeast part of the state.
