A few years ago, a friend of mine and I built a simple automatic door controller for our bedroom.
It was simple to setup and work with, but I had a few issues.
For one, we couldn’t automate our bedroom doors manually.
So, for example, if I wanted to turn off the automatic door in our bedroom, we’d have to use a remote to turn the knob.
That’s pretty awkward, and it was hard to get it working with the existing bedroom door knob, so I started thinking about ways to automate our door.
I quickly came up with an idea to use an Arduino to turn a knob that is programmed with the “auto door” button.
It works really well, so we’ve implemented it in our code and made a small library of functions for using it in your projects.
Here’s how it works.
The Arduino is connected to the Arduino microcontroller by a GPIO pin, which we can configure to our liking.
We configure the GPIO pin for the door controller to use, and the Arduino will turn on when we push the button on the knob, and turn off when we pull it.
The door controller has an Arduino-specific function, which sets a default action to use if we press the button.
We can use the “on” function to turn on the door, or the “off” function for turning it off.
This is handy for using in a home automation system, or for controlling a door with your phone.
In this example, we’re turning the knob on and off, but we can also turn it on and turn it off individually.
If we press a button, the door will automatically open.
Otherwise, it will be automatically locked.
So you can control the door remotely with an Arduino, or you can use a smartphone app.
We’ve implemented a simple and flexible approach for controlling doors that is easy to extend.
We’re not going to go into too much detail about how it all works, but you can find more about the project on our Github repository.
The next time you open your bedroom door and you don’t want it to open, just turn the lock on the controller.
That way, you don`t have to worry about manually turning the lock.
